Maybelline Eyestudio Tutorial (Caffeine Rush)

Hello Dolls!  This is my second tutorial ever on my blog.  I was really bored today and I cut my hair last night, so I was going through my make-up and found a palette from Maybelline that I bought a few months back.  I used it then and I loved it but I have to much make up it kind of just sat in my make-up bin until today.  This is from their new collection called Eyestudio Color Explosion.  There are five palettes in this collection.  These colors are as stated on Maybelline's Exclusive luminizer combines with pigments for PURE IMPACT, EXQUISITE COLOR. IGNITED BY LIGHT.  Exquisite color. Ignited by light. Now explosive eyes are born.  I totally agree with this statement.  This palette Caffeine Rush is the neutral colors, but now that I rediscovered this I want to go out and purchase the rest.

The Palette...

  • First I primed my eyes with Urban Decay's Primer potion.
  • Then, I patted the bronze orange color (left side) on my lids with a flat eyeshadow brush.
  • With a fluffy crease brush I, then place the dark brown shade in the crease of my eye.  I applied in a sweeping motion back and forth across my crease.
  • I then took an angled fluffy brush and swept the taupe color (right side) just over my crease almost to help blend out the darker brown color.
  • Then with same brush after I cleaned it off I took the white shade (bottom) and swept it under my brow bone for highlighting.
  • Then with the sponge applicator I took the dark brown shade and created an outer V to create a smoky effect.  I then used a blending brush to blend out any harsh lines.
  • In my inner corners of the tear ducts I took a small smudge brush and dusted lightly the gold shade(upper)
  • With the pointy end of the sponge applicator, I took the orange color and lined 1/2 of my lower lash line, then I took the dark brown and line the outer half of my lower lash line.
  • I lined my upper lash line with Wet n Wild's Mega Liquid Eyeliner in 865 Brown
  • Then with Wet n Wild's pencil liner in Dark Brown I lined my water line.
  • I then added L'Oreal Carbon Black Voluminous to both my upper and lower lashes.
  • I topped off my look with Maybelline's Dream Mousse Blush in Rose Petal on my cheeks and on my lips L'Oreal Infallible Never Fail Lip gloss in Barely Nude.

New Wet N Wild Baked ColorIcon Tutorial

Hello Dolls!  This is my very first tutorial.  I hope you are as excited as I am.  This is a look I created with the New Wet N Wild Baked ColorIcon palette in Baked, Not Fried.  This is the 1 of the 3 new palettes that can be found at Walgreens.  If you have been clipping coupons you will know that Red Plum this past Sunday had a $1.00 off coupon for WNW products.  If you were able to snatch up this coupon this is a GREAT BUY for only $3.99.

This look is great for a day at work or an evening out.  Its a neutral eye that can be light or very dramatic, depending on how much you build the shadow.  I think you are going to love this look, just as much as I do.

My Tutorial...
  • First I primed my eye with Urban Decay's Primer Potion (my favorite) http://www.urbandecay.com/
  • Next, I took my E.L.F flat eyeshadow brush and got the marbled taupe looking color (second row, left side).  I then foiled the color by spraying the brush with my MAC fix+ (If you don't have this, you can just spray some water on the brush, that works just as good) I then patted that color all over my lower lid and brushed it slightly up into my crease.
  • I then took a dry/clean fluffy crease brush from ECO Tools and took the color just below (first row, left side) and blended that in swiping motion into my crease, adding more color at the outer V of my eye.  This color is intense so make sure you tap your brush after getting the color, this will ensure fall out over your cheek.
  • I then took a fluffy angled eyeshadow brush from NYX and applied the lightest shade in the palette under my brow bone and blended it down into the crease color.
  • With a dense tapered brush I took the darkest shade and defined my outer V to create an even more dramatic look.  I blended the color slightly out using a blending brush.
  • Then I took a pencil brush and took the first color and placed it on my lower lash line.  I then took the second shade and rubbed it just below the first color with a q-tip.
  • With a small smudge brush I took the top right corner shade and rubbed that into my inner part of the tear duct and in a swiping motion brought it up slightly.  This will brighten up your eye and add that little bit of pop on the eye.
  • I then took the mini pencil eyeliner that came with the palette and lined my upper lash line, tight line and water line.
  • Then I applied my new favorite mascara L'Oreal's Voluminous Million Lashes in Carbon Black.  Using my fav glue Revlon Precision I applied a pair of flash lashes from Model 21 (T-16). http://www.model21.com/, they have really great deals on eyelashes.
  • On my face I used Mabelline Fit me foundation and pressed powder in color 230
  • On my lips I used Wet N Wild Glassy Gloss in 311A Glass Confusion
  • On my cheeks for blush I used WNW 834E in Berry Shimmer
Other Products I used...
